Nani starrer Krishnarjuna Yuddham released yesterday worldwide and the openings in the US seem to have been decent ones. Despite releasing on a Thursday, Krishnarjuna Yuddham had a steady start on first day of release after the film managed to clock Rs. 6.8 crores from the Telugu states. The US box office saw the film rake in a collection of $165,000 which is lower than what a Nani film would clock in usually. The makers hope that business would pick up for Krishnarjuna Yuddham over the weekend and the collections too would look better. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, Krishnarjuna Yuddham features Nani, Anupama Parameswaran and Rukshar Dhillon in lead roles. Nani would be seen playing dual roles in the film which will be for the third time in his career.

Krishnarjuna Yuddham is being produced by Saahu Garapati & Harish Peddi under Shine Screens banner. Krishnarjuna Yuddham will have Anupama Parameswaran and Rukshar Mir playing the other lead roles. Anupama Parameswaran was last seen in Ram Pothineni’s Vunnadhi Okkate Zindagi which also had Lavanya Tripathi in the other lead role. Krishnarjuna Yuddham will be Rukshar Mir’s third film in Tollywood and will be first with one of the big stars of the industry. Nani had also confirmed that the film will be released sometime in summer this year.

Speaking about the film, Nani had recently said, “I always loved Merlapaka Gandhi’s writing and I used to appreciate him whenever I met him. But i never imagined myself as one of the character’s penned by him in his stories. I’m glad we came together for Krishnarjuna Yuddham. Except for few scenes where I had to shoot for the double-action scenes, the rest of schedules were like a holiday for me. I did not realise when and how completed the whole shoot. And you guys will see our enjoying experience on the screen when the film releases.”
