The casting couch issue has taken the whole industry by storm. Sri Reddy’s revelations about the existence of casting couch took the industry by storm. Now, in another shocking news Shreshta, who has penned lyrics for Arjun Reddy and Pelli Choopulu, has shared her horrifying story. In a recent interview, Shreshta shared a shocking story of sexual exploitation in the Telugu industry.

“I had to postpone my career because of a few bad experiences. Many people have openly suggested to me that I won’t be able to make a name for myself in the industry only with my writing. I have learned over the years that it’s not just men but also women who unabashedly perpetuate such things,” India Glitz quoted Shreshta as saying.

The lyricist also went on to reveal that the wife of a producer asked her to submit to her husband’s sexual demands. Sharing another instance, she also revealed that how a woman director told her that a person was keen on proposing her and he had arranged a grand party for it in Goa. When she refused to attend it, a man called her up and chided her. “I was helpless. I warned them strongly and left the industry for a few months,” added Shreshta.

Shreshta is one of the popular female lyricists who has proved herself with her work for movies like Madhuram Madhuram, Yuddham Sharanam, Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy.

Well, in the past, many actresses have spoken up about their shocking experiences in the industry. Sri Reddy’s casting couch stories took Telugu industry by storm. One after another, Sri Reddy revealed pictures and stories of casting couch that left everyone’s eyes open. She went on to reveal names of the actors and producers who exploited her on the name of giving her work. One of the names included Telugu film producer Suresh Babu’s son Abhiram Daggubati.
