Film Critic Kathi Mahesh has fallen into trouble after character artist Sunitha made sensational comments against him during her interview with TV9 Studio. The actress has alleged that Kathi Mahesh has tried to use her by giving Rs 500. Sunitha told that Mahesh Kathi used her forcefully and attempted to rape her.
Sunitha during the TV debate on casting couch said, “I came to know about Mahesh Kathi a year ago through social media site- Facebook. We were just Facebook friends. I was shocked to see him in controversial reality show Bigg Boss. After his elimination, I called Mahesh Kathi to say that his Bigg Boss show was nice. In ‘Bigg Boss’ show phone call, Kathi said to his wife that he would go to Lucknow after the show but instead of going to Lucknow, he came to Hyderabad. He also invited me to his house. When I went to his house, Kathi asked me whether I would offer commitment. When I said no, then he locked the room, beaten me and resorted to sexual assault. He also offered me Rs 500. I have all evidence to prove my allegations against Kathi Mahesh.”
While speaking to a TV channel Mahesh Kathi denied accusations made on him. He said, “I told her to file case against me, if she really has any proofs against me. I’m planning to file defamation suit against her as to prove all her allegations against me are deceitful.”
When the channel asked whether there’s any conspiracy behind Sunitha levelling sexual harassment claims on him, Mahesh replied, “I was the only person to speak about megastar, power star, mega power star and superstar lately.”
Meanwhile, the recent development in the controversy is that Mahesh Kathi has condemned these allegations and has come up with his version on the issue. He took to twitter saying that he is going to file a defamation case for 50 Lakhs on Sunitha and Ram Charan owned Konidela Production for instigating her.
Here’s what he tweeted:
I will be filing a defamation case against Sunitha for falsely accusing me of sexual harassment and Konidela Productions for instigating her.

Well, casting couch is a talk of the town ever since Sri Reddy started making revelations about the same. She even staged a protest against the existence of ‘casting couch’ in the industry. On April 7, Sri Reddy staged a strip-protest in front of the office of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) alleging that she was not getting a membership to the body because she has spoken about industry’s malpractices.
