The audio of Naga Chaitanya and Rakul Preet starrer Rarandoi veduka Chudam was launched in Hyderabad on Sunday. The event was a grand affair and saw the bigwigs attend the event. Akkineni Nagarjuna made the event more exciting after he shook a leg on the stage for one of the songs. But one incident from the event caught the attention of the world and created a furore. Veteran actor Chalapathi Rao made few comments about women when he was asked a question by the host of the event.

The trailer of Rarandoi Veduka Chudam has a dialogue by Naga Chaitanya which reads ‘Women are injurious to health’. The hosts for the audio launch were asking the celebrities present there about their opinions on this line. When Chalapathi Rao was asked the same question, his reply silenced the venue.

Chalapathi Rao said, “I’m not sure if they are injurious or not, but they are useful in bed.” These comments by a senior actor like him did not go down well and have created a furore. A huge uproar against the actor has emerged now and social media is filled with posts against Chalapati Rao.

Akkineni Nagarjuna, the producer of Rarandoi Veduka Chudam, reacted to these comments and posted a message on his social networking page. The message read, “I always respect women personally and in my films/I definitely do not agree wt Chalapati rao’s derogatory comments/dinosaurs do not exist!!.”

Female actors from the industry are lambasting Chalapathi Rao for his comments. Chalapathi Rao has not reacted to this news yet.

I could see the hostess was shocked..but the host laughing and saying that he gave a right answer! Pathetic man.

you have to note the host immediately agrees with him and laughs and applauds his answer. not surprising coming from this industry. i dont see a single angry face in that audience!

    He’s right

Something wrong with people down there… people up north have major issues too but there is a vileness with which they talk about the women in the south! Sickening.

Telugu film industry is notorious for objectifying women. Not surprised

Surely implying his mother and daughters too
