Charmme Kaur’s writ petition gets thumbs up from the High Court in the ongoing drugs case

Actress Charmme Kaur had filed a writ petition with the High Court with regards to the collection of blood, nail and hair samples during the questioning in connection with the ongoing drugs case in Tollywood. The petition came to hearing in the court on Tuesday and the court directed the SIT officials to not necessitate Charmme to give blood samples during the questioning.

Charmme had also requested in the writ petition to allow her to have her lawyer accompany her in the questionning session which the court has rejected. The court has, however, directed the investigating officials of the SIT to include a woman police officer during the grilling session of Charmme which is scheduled to happen on July 26.

Charmme’s writ petition stated – “If the same happens, I, being an unmarried lady, will have to face serious consequences in the eyes of society spoiling my career and future.” Charmme has been given the option the option of choosing a location of her choice for questioning which is yet to be decided.

Earlier, Charmme Kaur had said that she will appear before the SIT in their office but as per latest reports, she might opt for a different location for the questioning. Charmme is one of the celebrities who was served notice by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to appear before them in connection with drugs case that has been haunting the Telugu film industry in the last few weeks. Latest reports suggest that Charmme Kaur might appear before the officials for questioning today, July 26th 2017.
