Prabhas starrer Saaho has completed first two legs of shooting and the recent one in Abu Dhabi had the stars in the film perform some high-octane stunts for the film. Directed by young filmmaker Sujeeth, Saaho is a spy-thriller and has a heavy star cast with the likes of Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff and Malayalam actor-filmmaker Lal. The recently wrapped up schedule of Saaho had Lal in it and the veteran actor seems like elated to be part of Saaho. “The director Sujeeth had called me last year, saying he wanted to meet about a Telugu movie. At that point, didn’t know Prabhas was part of the project. I am definitely not a good judge of a Telugu movie but I liked my character in the film. It’s something I could sink my teeth into; I didn’t have to do any bone-crunching action scenes either,” Lal told Times of India in an interview.

Lal is all praise for Prabhas and seems mighty impressed with his grounded attitude. “What I liked best about him is that he is someone who respects Malayalam artistes. We Malayalis hardly watch Telugu movies, if at all we do, it’s probably to steal a storyline. But they keenly follow all our movies. Some of the assistant directors were talking to me about scenes from my movies that even my family have not watched,” added Lal.

Speaking about Saaho, Lal adds that he plays a positive role and most of the plot takes place outside India. “It’s a positive role. There is a lot of shoot left and the movie will be released only next year. I don’t think they have narrated the entire story to anybody. It’s not a simple story. Most of it happens outside India. The film will also have schedules in Europe,” added the Malayalam veteran actor.
