The highly anticipated NTR biopic is a talk of the town ever since it was announced. The biopic will feature Balakrishna himself in the titular role and will portray the life of NTR. The entire Telugu industry was quite excited to know that the film on the legendary actor is in making. The film was launched by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on March 29 in Ramakrishna Studio, Hyderabad. However, the film hit headlines after Teja walked out of the film as a director.
Filmmaker Teja opted out of the NTR biopic. Since then there have been speculations on who will take his place as a director. Reportedly, Teja opted out of the biopic, citing the reason that he won’t be able to handle the project on the large scale. Later, K Raghavendra Rao’s name came up as the first choice of the filmmakers to helm the project. But the veteran filmmaker declined the offer to direct the film citing health reasons.
The latest update is that filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi, currently busy wrapping up Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika, might take up the project. According to reports, Krish is currently in talks with the makers of the film and is yet to take a final call.
Meanwhile, lately, reports were doing rounds that Rana Daggubati will be seen playing NTR’s son in law and current chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, in the biopic. However, there is no confirmation regarding the same.
The biopic will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi since NTR was a popular figure across India in films and political circles. The makers are yet to reveal the complete cast and crew of the film, which is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Being jointly produced by Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati, the film will have music by MM Keeravani.
