Noted director K Raghavendra Rao was planning to make another flick with the actress to mark their silver jubilee of movies together.
There can be no denying that the veteran actor was one of the most sought after actors in the South Indian film industry. Ace director Raghavendra played a big role in Sridevi’s illustrious career. He made 24 films with her including Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Kondaveeti Simham, Padaharella Vayasu. He also directed the super-hit movie Himmatwala starring Jeetendra and Sridevi which proved to be a turning point of her career. Unfortunately, she passed away a day before the movie’s 35th anniversary.
Raghavendra Rao is one of the most triumphant directors in Indian cinema. He has worked with Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Shoban Babu, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi and many more.
During the promotional event of the 2017 movie Mom in Hyderabad, Raghavendra said that Mom would be a hit as it had Sridevi. He also revealed his interest to direct a movie with the legendary actress to mark it as their silver jubilee movie together. He said “I am the only director who has done 24 films with you ( Sridevi), if we do one more film , we can celebrate a silver jubilee and Boney Kapoor will finance it” . She replied that it would be an honour for her to work again with Raghavendra and touched his feet to seek blessings.
While talking about her acting skills, he said, “All the generation knows only her (Sridevi) name because she has had a long journey. She faced the camera at an age of four. For a Sridevi movie we don’t have to see the reviews or reports to watch it. Her movie always assures 100 percent performance, glamour and 100 percent guarantee that people will watch it and will turn out to be a super hit.”

The director was shocked to hear the news of her death and took to his Twitter account to express it.
Sridevi passed away on Saturday night after she slipped in the bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai. Her mortal remains have been brought to India today. The condolence meet and cremation will be held tomorrow at Vile Parle Seva Samaj crematorium and Hindu Cemetery.
