After director Teja opted out of the biopic on legendary actor N.T.Rama Rao, there were a lot of speculations on what would his next project be. Recent reports said that director Teja is planning a biopic on late actor Uday Kiran who committed suicide 2 years ago. There were also reports indicating that Teja had even zeroed in on a title and would soon make an official announcement. However, clarifying about all this now, director Teja has rubbished all these reports and said that he is not planning any biopic on anyone and not on Uday Kiran too.
“It’s all fake news! I am not doing any film based on Uday Kiran’s life. I don’t know who started this rumour, but I have never planned any film like that. My next will be an action film,” director Teja was quoted as saying by a report in Deccan Chronicle. Everyone reportedly believed in these reports since Uday Kiran was one of the rising stars in Tollywood and his passing away came as a shocker to many.
Teja also confirms that his next film would be an action-oriented one and is currently working on it. The director also adds that he is planning a film with Rana again and is in the pipeline. “I will do a film with Rana, and it’s going to be a commercial film,” Teja added further.
Teja was to direct the biopic on N.T.Rama Rao which had Nandamuri Balakrishna portraying his father and bankrolled by the actor himself. However, Teja opted out of the project in the last minute stating he would not be able to manage such a large scale project. However, Telugu film industry insiders say the reason for opting out could be something else and Teja is hesitant to reveal it. Teja last directed Nene Raju Nene Mantri, a political drama, which starred Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead role.
