Venkatesh was last seen in ‘Guru’ which was the remake of Tamil film ‘Irudhi Suttru’ starring R.Madhavan in the lead role. The film was a decent success in the Telugu states and Venky was much appreciated for his role as a boxing coach in the film. The actor is said to be going through a make-over for his film with director Teja and will be seen playing an elegant looking professor in the film, according to reports. The yet to be titled film is said to be a breezy entertainer with lots of commercial elements in it. “This role is going to be something very new from the actor as he hasn’t done anything like this in recent times. Teja is keen to leave no stone unturned in showing Venkatesh in a fresh avatar. The role of the professor will be quite an interesting one for Venkatesh,” a source close to the film’s unit had recently said.
It was being reported that the makers had approached top star Kajal Aggarwal for the female lead role but latest reports reveal that Kajal couldn’t accept the project due to prior commitments. Latest reports reveal that Nithya Menen has been approached by the makers and a narration of the script will happen soon. If this materialises, this will be the first time that Nithya will be acting opposite Daggubati Venkatesh. Nithya Menen was last seen in Janatha Garage opposite Jr. NTR in Telugu and alongside Vijay in ‘Mersal’ in Tamil which is now released Telugu as ‘Adirindhi’.
Wishes from all around have started pouring in for the coolest star in Tollywood who celebrates his birthday today. Born on December 13th, 1960, Venkatesh is the younger son of eminent producer late Dr.D.Ramanaidu. Venkatesh studies engineering in the US and then moved back to Chennai, India to pursue a career in acting. Venky is said to be a very spiritual person and prefers to stay away from media glare and limelight. Venkatesh is a avid follower of Ramana Maharshi and believes firmly in his preachings.
Venkatesh also has another film lined up with director Anil Ravipudi which is slated to be hit the shooting floors some time in 2018. News has it that the film has been apparently titled ‘F2’ with caption ‘Fun and Frustration’. The film is said to be a multi-starrer and the makers are on the lookout for another star to be part of the film. “Anil has a concept for a commercial entertainer that Venkatesh loved. The actor asked him to develop the story line while he finishes work on his next with director Teja. Meanwhile, Anil will also finalise a young hero to co-star in the film. The title of the film, F2, will have an interesting back story attached to it,” a source close to the filmmaker was quoted as saying.
The shooting of Venkatesh’s next film with director Teja was launched recently in Hyderabad and the shooting of the film will begin soon. After the stupendous success of ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’, director Teja seems to be back in reckoning with numerous films under his belt. Teja will also direct the biopic on yesteryear legendary actor and former CM Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.
