On first day on sets of Queen remake, director Prashanth Varma celebrates birthday with Tamannaah

Tollywood kicked off 2018 with an interesting film, AWE, which was produced by actor Nani and directed by debutante Prashanth Varma. Telling the story of how a person goes through different psycho-related stages in life, AWE was much appreciated by everyone including critics. Prashanth Varma, who has a history in short-films, was lauded for his attempt to do a film which was a path-bending subject. Prashanth has now been roped in to direct Queen Telugu remake which stars Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role. Titled Queen Again, the remake was earlier being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Neelakanta who opted out after a couple of schedules for unknown reasons.

And coincidentally the first day of shoot it was his birthday and the young filmmaker celebrated with lead actor Tamannaah on the sets. Photos of Prashanth Varma and Tamannaah have been going viral on social media. Prashanth is seen cutting the cake and Tamannaah making him take a bite of it. That Bollywood hit film Queen starring Kangana Ranaut is being remade in all the four South Indian languages is something we all know. The Kannada remake will feature Parul Yadav in the lead role while the Tamil remake will star Kajall Aggarwal. Tamannaah Bhatia and Manjima Mohan will feature in Telugu and Malayalam remakes of Queen respectively. The makers had shot few portions in India and Paris for all the remakes. However, the shoot of the Telugu remake titled Queen again came to a halt after director Neelakanta Reddy opted out of the film. there were rumours that the director had a spat with the lead actor Tamannaah which resulted in him opting out. However, the makers said that nothing of those sorts has happened and they will soon resume the shoot of the film.
