Actor Naga Shaurya is riding high on the success of his recent film Chalo which was directed by newcomer Venky Kudumula. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna as the other lead, Chalo received great reviews on opening day and went on to gain thumbs-up from the audiences. Chalo also marked Kannada actress Rashmika Mandanna’s debut in Telugu cinema. Shaurya will next be seen in a family entertainer titled Ammammagari Illu which also stars Shamili, sister of actor Shalini of Sakhi fame. Shamili made her acting debut with Oye! which also starred Siddharth and was directed by Anand Ranga. The film opened to a grand release however failed to impress the audience. Ammammagari Illu stars Naga Shaurya and Shamili in the lead roles and is directed by Sundar Surya, a debutante. The makers have wrapped up the principal shoot of the film and the film will now move to post production stage now. And ahead of the Valentine’s Day, the makers have released the first look poster of the film in which Shaurya and Shamili along with veteran actress Sumitra who will be seen playing an important role.
Speaking about her role, actor Shamili said, “I took a break after ‘Oye!’ because I did not find any good stories since then. And after a long time, I liked this story of ‘Ammammagari Illu’ and hence I agreed to do it. My role in the film is something very new and I’m very happy to be working with Naga Shaurya. I would like to thank the director and producer of the film for giving me this opportunity.”
Actor Naga Shaurya said that Ammammagari Illu will have every emotion in it and would be true family entertainer. “I’m doing a family entertainer for the first time. We had a great time shooting for this film. Director Sundar Surya has shown family emotions in a very elegant way and we believed in the story of the film. The production values of the film are very high and the makers haven’t compromised on that part. I think families will connect to this film,” said Shaurya.
