First look poster of Varun Tej and Raashi Khanna starrer Tholiprema is out now

Actor Varun Tej had a great 2017 with his only release, ‘Fidaa’, turning out to be a hit film for him. Starring Sai Pallavi in the other lead role, Fidaa was directed by Sekhar Kammula. Varun Tej will next appear in a film directed by Venky Atluri which will have Raashi Khanna as the leading lady. Said to be a romantic saga, the film has been majorly shot in London. The makers of the film have now released the first look and title poster of the film which is titled ‘Tholiprema’. The poster indicates that the story is going to be a romantic tale. Varun Tej seems to have gone through a complete makeover for the film and his new look has created quite a huge excitement around the film.

Interestingly, ‘Tholiprema’ was also the title of Varun Tej’s uncle, Pawan Kalyan’s super hit film which starred Keerthi Reddy in the lead role. ‘Tholiprema’ was one of the biggest blockbusters in the career of Pawan Kalyan and was a musical hit too. Directed by A.Karunakaran, ‘Tholiprema’ was released in 1999 and is still considered to be one of the biggest films in Pawan Kalyan’s career.

Varun Tej’s ‘Tholiprema’ is directed by Venky Atluri, a debutante, and will have music composed by Thaman SS. Varun Tej recently revealed why chose to do a romantic film after the FIdaa and said, “People must be wondering why I’m doing two back-to-back love stories. Venky’s love story is very different and that’s why I didn’t mind doing these films in succession. Both of these films have their own charm. Even though ‘Fidaa’ was a love story, Sekhar’s touch and presentation made it stand out. Similarly, Venky has perceived love so differently and that’s what makes his film different.”
