Nag Ashwin’s recently released film Mahanati is currently winning hearts of the audience and is earning huge at the Box Office. The film starring Keerthy Suresh in the role of legendary actress Savitri has won immense appreciation from audience and critics alike. The positive word of mouth reaction by the audience has ultimately reflected the Box Office business of Mahanati. While the film is making right noise, supporting actor Bindu Chandramouli, who plays the role of Gemini Ganesan’s on-screen ex-wife, is upset with the makers of the film. The actress is disappointed that the team has chopped her scenes even when she had done her dubbing for it.
She wrote on her social-media account, “It’s very disappointing to have known that the makers have decided to cut out the whatever little it is, the character of Pushpavalli (after dubbing) and also an appearance of the character of her young daughter Rekha. Somehow, it’s more disappointing this time around. I had the wonderful opportunity of portraying a real-life character even if it was for one scene and a couple of song montages with Savithri’s character. The song n the scene have never made it to the cinemas.”
Bindu Chandramouli also shared some stills from the deleted scene. She concluded the post saying, “Good luck to the cast and crew who have worked so hard for this epic. I would still consider myself being part of this story, though not showcased. Sharing some stills from the deleted scene.”
However, the actress deleted the post two days after sharing it for the reasons better known to her.
Gemini Ganesan’s ex-wife Pushpavalli had two daughters from the relationship. Bollywood diva Rekha is an elder daughter, while the younger daughter Radha is currently in the US. Bollywood’s iconic diva, Rekha recently expressed that she is waiting to watch her father on the big screen.
Masala quoted a source saying, “When Rekha heard about the project, she was curious but discreet in her inquiries. But now when the film is out she has let it be known to the film’s producers through her sister Radha that Rekha would like to see the film.”
