Earlier this year, Telugu star Gopichand suffered a setback when his ‘Gautham Nanda’ underperformed at the ticket window and failed to impress his fans. Now, he is all set to get his career back on track with ‘Oxygen’. Directed by Jyothi Krishna, it is an action-thriller and had been lying in the cans for a while. Talking about this, he said that delays do not affect a film’s performance and said that ‘Oxygen’ is a commercial entertainer with a message.
“Not much because I know the entire story, I can carry the same emotion. But if I commit to a film and later realise that the story is not coming out well, I still try to complete the film, even though I know the result. Though it is a commercial film with all the elements, Oxygen has a message,” added Gopichand.
Interestingly, Gopichand’s career hit a roadblock after ‘Loukyam’ and none of have worked since. Talking about this difficult phase, he said that his bad luck began when he made the mistake of doing ‘Soukyam’ which proved to be a disaster at the box office.
“After that, I did Soukyam, which was a wrong step and then I signed another film simultaneously. So everything turned bad for the first time in my career,” he added.
Well, we wish Gopichand good luck for ‘Oxygen’ and hope that it does well at the box office. On a related note, he currently has ‘Aaradugula Bullet’ in his kitty. The film is complete but is yet to hit theatres.
