Harish Uthaman: Director Suseenthiran wanted me to look totally different from my previous looks in C/O Surya

Actor Harish Uthaman will be seen playing an important role in director Suseenthiran’s upcoming film C/O Surya which is titled Nenjil Thunivirunthal in Tamil which has Sundeep Kishan and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles. Harish sports a look in the film which he has never tried before in his career and is almost unrecognisable. Speaking about the film and his look, Harish Uthaman told a leading daily, “To not look like me was the idea behind the look. Director Suseenthiran made it clear that he didn’t want to see any reflection of the usual me in the character.

Harish also says that they tried numerous looks and tried different attires before zeroing in on this look. Harish recalls an incident from a recent event which is quite funny. “At a recent promotional event, cinematographer Chota K. Naidu garu was sitting by my side and asked me what I was doing at the event and I told him that I am part of the film. He was taken aback! He didn’t recognise me in the trailer. And this often happened on the sets too. I would be sitting there and no one would recognise me,” said Harish Uthaman.

Harish also says that it is always his conscious effort to try something new and better each time. “As an actor, you always crave for variety and try something new. You want your characters to stand out and attract attention. This role has surely given me a sense of satisfaction,” Harish added further.
