South star Nagarjuna is making a huge comeback to Bollywood after almost a decade. The actor, who was last seen in LOC Kargil (2003), will be a part of much-talked-about Bollywood film Brahmastra to be produced by Karan Johar. Being directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra plays a very important role in his life as he has taken a long 6 years to put up things on the place. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia among others form the rest of the star cast.
Now according to media reports, Nagarjuna, who is coming back to Bollywood after a decade, agreed to do the film only because he was impressed with his role. He immediately agreed to the film without knowing his screen presence. The News Minute quoted Nag saying, “My career in Andhra keeps me busy. I’ve not shown any inclination to do a Hindi film, though I’m open to doing films in any language if the set-up is good. Brahmastra was impressive from the moment it came to me. I said ‘yes’ immediately and now here I am on my way to shoot for it. I am looking forward to it.”
Nagarjuna is presently doing a multi-starrer along with Nani under the direction of Bhale Manchi Roju fame Sriram Aditya.
Talking about Brahmastra, it is one of the much-talked-about upcoming trilogy that Bollywood has ever seen. Director Ayan Mukerji had been working on the project since last six years. “This film is a modern day film. It is set in India as it exists today but the name of the film is Brahmastra because the energy, wisdom and powers in the film come from ancient India. As far as costumes are concerned, there are some which may not be the way you would expect them to be,” Ayan had earlier said.
