Is Jagapathi Babu joining politics?

The actor recently met his friend and MLA Anagani Sathya Prasad at his residence in Vijayawada.

Senior actor Jagapathi Babu shifted gears in his career after he started playing supporting roles instead of lead ones. It all started with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s LEGEND in which he played the antagonist for the first time. Since then there was no looking back for the dynamic performer. He has done more than a dozen films since then and has quite a few in the pipeline too. Jagapathi Babu is currently shooting for an untitled film in the interiors of Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh which is being directed by Boyapati Srinu.

Jaggu bhai went to meet his friend and local MLA Anagani Sathya Prasad, and spent few hours at his residence. This meeting, which lasted more than couple of hours, led to speculations that Jagapathi Babu would be entering politics and will join the Telugu Desam Party which is spearheaded by Chandra Babu Naidu. Rumours about his meeting with the MLA spread like wildfire and became a trending topic for netizens.

The actor later spoke to the local reporters and clarified that he does not intend to join politics or any political party and meeting was only a friendly one. He also added that the MLA Anagani Sathya Prasad is his family friend and he doesn’t have any aspirations of a political career.

The Gayam actor has quite a few films lined up which are in post-production stages. He is currently working on Ra Randoi Veduka Chudham which stars Naga Chaitanya and Rakul Preet as the leads. Jaggu bhai is also working on Patel S.I.R which created a lot of excitement amongst movie-goers after the release of its trailer.
