Jeevitha Rajasekhar threatens to go legal way against channels and artists after allegations on casting couch

In an official statement issued by Jeevitha Rajasekhar, the actor-producer has said that many television channels are broadcasting as and how they want and are really not worried about what impact it would have on audiences.

After Sri Reddy came out in pen regarding the casting couch allegations, many women artists have spoken out about their issues and the situations they have faced in Telugu film industry. Many Telugu news channels have been hosting many programmes and debates with these women and hearing out their versions of casting couch. And in such program, actor Sandhya Naidu claimed that noted actor Rajasekhar and his wife and producer Jeevitha are also involved in the casting couch in the film industry. Sandhya Naidu also made allegations that Jeevitha ensured that Rajasekhar got all his ‘requirements’ whenever he was acting in a film. and reacting strongly to this, Jeevitha Rajasekhar has now lashed out at the news channel and the actor stating she would definitely go legal way besides taking stringent action on them.

In an official statement issued by Jeevitha Rajasekhar, the actor-producer has said that many television channels are broadcasting as and how they want and are really not worried about what impact it would have on audiences. Jeevitha vowed to take legal action on one particular news channel which hosted the program with actor Sandhya Naidu. Jeevitha also added that, as a woman, she knows the trauma an actress would undergo and she is always in support of such people.

The casting couch saga in Telugu film industry has been an ongoing thing for more than 3 weeks now after actor Sri Reddy protested that she was exploited by top directors, actors and producers in film industry in exchange of work. Sri Reddy has been voicing out her problems in the film industry and said that she was always asked for sexual favours in exchange for work. Sri Reddy had also named that Abhiram Daggubati, son of eminent producer Suresh Babu, had used in the name of love.
