Actor Kajal Aggarwal will next be seen in the Tamil remake of Bollywood film Queen, titled Paris Paris, which is currently being shot in Mysore. The Tamil remake of Queen is being directed by actor-filmmaker Ramesh Arvind. Kajal Aggarwal, speaking about her role, says that she wanted to keep the role herself although there would be comparison. “I wanted this character in Paris Paris to be mine. I wanted my character to be different from the original Rani that we have all seen. I wanted to keep it as natural and spontaneous as I could, without getting influenced by what we have already seen onscreen. I have tried to keep the character very normal, while keeping in mind the fact that we are in 2018 now,” Kajal Aggarwal told TOI in an interview.
Kajal also says that they want the film to have a wider reach and have made changes to suit the Tamil nativities. “I loved the fact that Kangana Ranaut’s Queen was such a simple film, so relatable, so honest and at the same time, in a very simple manner, it was very empowering for a lot of women. It did not matter where the girl came from or what status she belonged to; people from all over the world could relate to her,” Kajal added further.
Kajal Agarwal also confirmed that her next project is in Telugu with Ravi Teja which is the remake of Tamil film Theri starring Vijay. “I am part of the official Telugu remake of the Tamil film Theri, which has Ravi Teja in the lead. I have also committed to work on a Punjabi film soon,” she added further. Kajal Aggarwal was last seen in MLA alongside Nandamuri Kalyanram. The film was directed by debutante Upendra Madhav and was reunion with Kalyanram who was her first co-star in Telugu.
