Kajal Aggarwal, who is riding high on the success of her latest releases Vivegam with Ajith Kumar and Nene Raju Nene Mantri with Rana Daggubati, will now feature in the Tamil remake of Bollywood hit film Queen. Queen starred Kangana Ranaut in the role of Rani which will be played by Kajal Aggarwal in the Tamil version. The shooting of the film may soon go on floors with the Kannada version of the remake already under progress.
According to a report in HT, Kajal Aggarwal says that the makers have planned to make subtle changes to suit the sensibilities of Tamil audience. “I loved the story ever since I saw the original! But we have to remember that the film, since it was made a couple of years ago, will have to be changed to keep it in sync with the current times,” says an excited Kajal Aggarwal.
The 2014 Bollywood hit film Queen changed the course of Kangana Ranaut’s career which has been on the rise since then. The Tamil remake is also expected to do the same to Kajal Aggarwal’s career which already is on a high lately.
“The makers of the film and I are very clear that we want to adapt Queen to Southern sensibilities, and do it our own way. While the script will essentially remain the same, the treatment will be personalised. I will also add my own touch to the role,” Kajal added further.
The Tamil remake of Queen will be most likely directed by Ramesh Arvind who is also directing the Kannada version of the remake.
