Director Krish is going to start working on his second movie in Bollywood and will direct Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut. Krish, along with Kangana Ranaut, music composers Shankar Ehsaan Loy, writer Prasoon Joshi and producer Kamal Jain unveiled a 20-feet poster of the film which is titled Manikarnika.
Kangana Ranaut performed the holy rituals at Varanasi and unveiled the poster of the film. Kangana took a holy dip in the Ganges before heading to perform the Aarti of Ganga Mata.
The film is based on the story of Jhansi Laxmibai and Kangana Ranaut will play the lead role in the film. The writer of hit films Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Vijayendra Prasad has written the story and screenplay of the film while the dialogues are penned down by Prasoon Joshi.
Manikarnika is being presented by Zee Studios and produced on the banner Kairos Kontent Studios by Kamal Jain. Manikarnika is slated to be released on April 27, 2018, while the first trailer is to be released around December 2017. Manikarnika will be shot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi simultaneously and will be released in as many languages.
After earning great repute with Gabbar is Back in Bollywood, Krish’s name was suggested by writer Vijayendra Prasad to the makers. The film’s script was initially written by Ketan Mehta but apparently, Kangana was not pleased with the script and suggested the makers to rope in Vijayendra Prasad sine he has two biggest films under his belt – Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
After starting his career with Gamyam in Telugu in 2008, Krish is only scaling new heights with each film that he is working on.
