Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, fondly called as Krish, is working on his second Bollywood film and the lead actress is Kangana Ranaut. The film is titled Manikarnika and Kangana will essay the titular role. The cast of crew of the film which includes director Krish, Kangana Ranaut, producer Kamal Jain, music composers Shakar Ehsaan Loy and writer Prasoon Joshi have organised a press meet on the banks of the Ganges today evening and will make an important announcement regarding Manikarnika.
A 20-feet poster of the Manikarnika – The Queen will be unveiled today when the unit meets the press in Varanasi. The story of the film revolves around her highness Jhansi Laxmibai’s life and the challenges she faced in her kingdom. The story of the film is written by Vijayendra Prasad who has hits like Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan to his credit.
Apparently, it was Kangana Ranaut who insisted in bringing Vijayendra Prasad and Krish onboard for Manikarnika since she was not happy with the earlier script which was penned by Ketan Mehta. The film will now be helmed by the Telugu duo and will be shot in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
Vijayendra Prasad would have been the right man to pen the down the story who has written story for both the parts of Baahubali, which is now an international sensation. Set in the era of Rani Jhansi Laxmibai, the story will reveal few unknown facts about the queen and the kingdom.
After Gabbar is back, this will be Krish’s second Bollywood venture. Krish has earned a great repute in Bollywood circles after Gabbar is back.
