Krishna Vamsi quashes rumours of Nakshatram being shelved

Krishna Vamsi posted a message clearing the air around his upcoming film Nakshatram.

Artistic director Krishna Vamsi is currently working on a film titled Nakshatram which stars Regina Cassandra and Sundeep Kishan in the leading roles. The film also stars Sai Dharam Tej and Pragya Jaiswal in important roles. The shooting of this film started in early 2016 and scheduled to be released in December 2016 initially. Later it was rescheduled to be released in April 2017 but had too pushed a bit more because of Baahubali’s release.

This change of plans created a lot of speculations and rumours stared spreading that the film has been shelved for unknown reasons. Reacting to all the tittle-tattle, Krishna Vamsi posted a message on his social networking page and said that the film will be released in May of 2017 as planned earlier.

I’m also taking this opportunity to announce that #Nakshatram is going to be released on May 2nd or 3rd week and this evening I will be announcing a multi-lingual star actress who has a special song in our movie,” wrote the director.


The director was irate at the way the rumours were being spread in the film industry and want to put a stop to these kinds of activities by going the legal way. “It’s very painful n disheartening for someone like me who stays out of controversy to face such incidents but a serious action is going to be taken against this senseless, ethicless, parasite Psychopathic journalistic speculations,” wrote Krishna Vamsi.

In the past too, Krishna Vamsi had expressed his anguish towards these kinds of speculations and had lashed out at them.
