According to a leading daily, Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu may finally make his Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of his recently released ‘Spyder’. Talking about Spyder being remade in Bollywood, director AR Murugadoss confirmed that talks are on and things will be finalised pretty soon. However, he refrained from commenting on Prince’s Bollywood debut.

“Mahesh Babu’s home audience expects a certain kind of heroism from him. In Spyder, he is not larger-than-life. So, it’s taking his fans in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana longer to accept him in as an understated, low-key heroism. Whereas in Tamil Nadu, the audience is more accepting of his scaled-down heroism. The producers will finalise the deal in the next 10 days,” he added

Well, this is an exciting development and is bound to create a buzz amongst fans.

Interestingly, if ARM and Mahesh Babu come together for the Hindi remake of ‘Spyder’ . it could work wonders at the box office. Murugadoss is a popular name in Hindi cinema as well and has directed successful films like ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Holiday’. As such, his involvement with the remake could boost its commercial prospects in a big way.

On a related note, ‘Spyder’ is a spy-thriller and it hit screens this Wednesday amidst much fanfare. In it, Mahesh Babu essays the role of a surveillance officer who taps phones and helps those in trouble. Besides Prince, it also Rakul Preet in the lead. The cast also includes names such as SJ Suryah and Bharath.
