According to the latest reports, the popular actor may soon be roped in to star in ‘Leader 2’. A sequel to the 2010 release ‘Leader’, it will be directed by Shekar Kammula who had helmed the original as well. Well this is quite an exciting development and could create a buzz in Tollywood. Interestingly, Sekar Kammula had wanted to sign Mahesh Babu for ‘Fidaa’. However, that did not happen as the superstar was working on his other films. Let’s see whether things fall in place this time around.
In case you did not know, ‘Leader’ was a political-drama and marked Rana Daggubati’s big screen debut. Even though it underperformed at the box office, it became popular post its TV premiere. The film also had Priya Anand in the lead.
On a related note, Mahesh Babu was last seen in ‘Spyder’ which opened to a good response at the BO last month. At present, he is shooting for ‘Bharath Ane Nenu. Besides this, he also has a film with SS Rajamouli and Vamsi Paidapally in his kitty.
