Mahesh Babu’s SPYder garnered a lot of attention, digital views and appreciation after the makers unveiled the first look of the film on April 12th, 2017. The film will have Mahesh Babu play the role of a spy, which will be the first time for Mahesh in his career. The film is being directed by eminent filmmaker A.R.Murugadoss and is being shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
SPYder was initially supposed to be released on June 23rd 2017 and the production house was yet to provide a confirmation on the same. However, actor Nani’s Ninnu Koori and Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jaganndham are being released on the same day. After the makers of these films confirmed that release date of their films, speculations began that SPYder will not release on June 23rd and instead would release in August which is the birthday month of Mahesh Babu.
“Nearly 20 days shooting is also left and the director wants more time to work on the post-production. So, they have now fixed a new release date for August 11,” reveals a source close to the unit. This gives the makers more time to work on the post production of the film.
“The actor has left everything to the director and the makers as he is confident about them,” adds the source. Sources also reveal that Mahesh Babu is in no rush to release the film and wants the Baahubali 2 tide to relax a bit.
The story of SPYder will be similar to Vijay’s Kaththi which was based on a spy working for the intelligence units.
