Duvvada Jagannadham featuring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde hit the screens on June 23 worldwide and has been churning out got some great numbers at the box office. Directed by Harish Shankar, Duvvada Jagannadham earned a whopping INR 33 crores in just two days at the box office. But, the film has now been hit by the piracy bug which happens every time a big-ticket actor film gets released.
Apparently, the full movie was posted on social media by someone and has been viewed by many already. The makers have now taken legal action and approached the cyber police in Hyderabad and lodged a complaint against the culprits. The police have registered a complaint and are investigating the matter.
Director Harish Shankar had requested viewers to not record any scenes from the film or click any pictures from the film, and post it only through a message on his social networking page. Harish had also said that stringent action will be taken against those who post anything from the film on social media.
Despite such efforts by the makers, full movie of DJ got posted on social media and has been going viral. The producer, Dil Raju, had also said earlier that they will take required action against piracy and those involved in it sinec it caused huge losses to the distributors and producers in the film industry.
Piracy has been killing the film industry and it has become a trend on social media to either click pictures of te film or shot scenes using mobile phones and post it on social media, said the director.
