Mehreen Pirzada

Making a dream debut in Tollywood with Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gadha and then making debut in Bollywood alongside top actress Anushka Sharma in Phillauri, Mehreen Pirzada is having the time of her life currently. With quite a few films in her kitty, Mehreen is shooting for Ravi Teja’s Raja The Great which is being directed by Anil Ravipudi. She is also working on another film with Sai Dharam Tej that is titled, Jawan. Mehreen was also in consideration for the female lead opposite Varun Tej in his upcoming film with Venkat Atluri. But looks like this might not materialise.

Sources close to the production house say that the Phillauri actress had to opt out of the project because of date issues and prior commitments. “It is a romantic love story and the director wants a leaner looking girl,” says the source.

The makers are now on the lookout for a replacement for her and are approaching the top actresses for the role. Reports also suggest that the makers are also looking at actresses from Bollywood too and have started negotiations with a few.
