Noted filmmaker Koratala Siva just took to twitter and stated that memories of directing Mahesh Babu in ‘Srimanthudu’ are fresh in his mind even though two years have passed since the film hit screens. He went on to add that he considers the film to be synonymous with several fond moments that he will never forget.
“Two years just flew by but the memories are still fresh. Many moments to cherish,” he tweeted.
Well, this is a sweet message and is bound to create a buzz amongst fans. In case you were not aware, ‘Srimanthudu’ was a commercial drama that revolved around how a wealthy man tries to transform a village despite opposition from some influential people. Besides Mahesh Babu, it also featured Shruti Haasan in the lead. Released in Tamil and Telugu, proved to be a runaway hit at the ticket window and received rave reviews along the way.
Interestingly, Siva is currently directing Mahesh Babu again in ‘Bharath Ane Nenu’ which is a political drama and features ‘Prince’ in the role of a chief minister. The film’s cast and crew will be filming a crucial schedule in Lucknow pretty soon. Confirming this, a source recently told a news agency that the cast and crew will be in Lucknow till August 22.
“The Lucknow schedule starts from August 10 and will go on till the 22nd. The team will shoot in places such as Jahangirabad Palace, Nadwa College and Moosa Bagh Palace. All the key actors of the cast, including Mahesh sir, will be part of this schedule,” the source had added.
On a related note, Mahesh Babu will next be seen in ‘Spyder’ which will hit screens on September 27.
