Romantic entertainer Naa Nuuve will be clashing with Ram Gopal Varma’s Officer at the theatres this summer. Makers of both the movies have locked May 25, 2018 as the release date.
Naa Nuuve, directed by Jayendra is a romantic drama, starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Tamannaah Bhatia. The latter will be seen playing the role of Meera, a radio jockey and the former’s love interest in the film. There is already a lot of buzz around the film.
Kalyan Ram’s character is that of a geek who is lost in the world of books and is someone who is in search of love. He was last seen in the movie Ism. Interestingly Tamannaah earlier played the role of a RJ in her debut film Happy Days and nailed the part. The music for the film is composed by Sharreth.
Officer is one of the most awaited movies with Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Varma uniting for the second time after 25 years. The director- actor created Shiva, which was one of the biggest hits of Tamil Industry. In Officer Nagarjuna will be essaying the role of a cop who is on a mission to save a kidnapped girl. The tag line of the teaser is ‘Cops were never this scary’. The film will have some high voltage action sequences. Myra Sareen will be seen opposite the veteran actor marking her debut movie in Telugu film industry. The thriller is bankrolled by Ram Gopal Varma and Sudheer Chandra. Nagarjuna was last seen in a Telugu horror comedy film Raju Gari Gadhi 2. He essayed the role of a world renowned mentalist in the flick.
The two films have got entirely different genres, but then it will be interesting to watch both compete with each other. Fans are excited about both the films, however will releasing their films on the same day affect the box-office collections?
