Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is thirteen films old in the film industry and is already choosing some off-beat subjects for his films. His recent few releases have been amazing successes and have made him one of the top actors in Tollywood. The actor is currently working on his upcoming film titled Yuddham Sharanam which is being directed by Krishna Marimuthu. The film is being produced by Vaarahi Chalan Chitram and is slated to be released sometime in August.
The Ye Maaya Chesave actor says that Yuddham Sharanam will not be just an action film as the poster may convey such message. “It’s not just an action film, but a very youth-centric thriller. I play a college dropout who makes drones,” said Naga Chaitanya about Yuddham Sharanam to a leading daily.
Talking about how the film happened and how it came to him, Naga Chaitanya said, “It was designed that way. We worked on several drafts of the script until we felt it sounded right for youngsters. When the script initially came to me, I liked it immediately. But I felt we needed to work more on it. This script was recommended to me by my uncle Venkatesh. A lot of other opinions that matter were also taken into consideration.”
Chay also wants to do Tamil movies but says he doesn’t want to explore Bollywood at this present moment. “I’d like to explore that area with my next film, though no Hindi cinema for now. We are looked at with renewed interest. It’s time for Telugu cinema to make its presence felt,” said Chay talking about his future plans.
