The much waited for Mahanati, biopic on legendary actress Savitri, released on May 9th, 2018 worldwide and has been garnering a lot of appreciation from all around. Directed by Nag Aswhin, Mahanati features Keerthy Suresh in the titular role and Dulquer Salmaan as her husband and actor Gemini Ganesan. Mahanati has a lot of other actors and filmmakers playing cameos in it which includes Mohan Babu as actor SV Ranga Rao, director Krish as filmmaker KV Reddy, Srinivas Avasarala as filmmaker LV Prasad and many others. But one cameo that appealed everyone is Akkineni Nageswar Rao’s. ANR was played by Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, his grandson, and fans of the yesteryear actor are swooning over his portrayal. The makers have now released the official look of Naga Chaitanya as Akkineni Nageswar Rao from Mahanati and the look will blow your mind away.

Mahanati also stars Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda and will be seen playing fictional characters. Besides these four top stars, the cast of Mahanati includes few heavy names who would be seen portraying important roles. amantha Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Deverakonda also plays important role in the film along with other celebrated actors from the southern film industry. Dani Sanchez-Lopez cranked the camera for Mahanati while the production design was handles by Shivam Rao. Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao has handled the editing part of the film.

Mahanati will portray the life of Savitri and will showcase the rise and fall of the yesteryear actor who was married to Gemini Ganesan. Mahanati is one of the most awaited for films in South Indian cinema since it will portray the life of an iconic actress – Savitri – who has acted in all four South Indian languages, majorly in Telugu and Tamil. Having acted alongside many top stars of her times like Akkineni Nageswar Rao, N.T.Rama Rao and Gemini Ganesan among many others.
