Shortly after Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni’s reception, the Akkineni family suffered a major setback when a fire broke out at the Annapurna Studios and destroyed the set of ‘Manam’. Now, actor Nagarjuna has broken his silence of the matter. In an emotional statement, the veteran star said that he is heartbroken about the accident as his dad/Telugu thespian ANR had spent his last few days on the set. He went on to add the set was also synonymous with various rare decoration pieces.
“It’s heart-breaking! This set was erected for ‘Manam’. It’s the set where nanna had spent most of his last days. We had so many good memories attached with the set. Whenever we go there, we feel his presence; it’s unfortunate that it’s no longer there. The set not only carried the legacy of my family, but also rare artefacts and decoration pieces… all gone,” he added.
However, at the same time, ‘Nags’ said that he was relieved about no one being present on the set when the fire broke out.
“Luckily, we lost only the set. I’m happy that nobody got injured. It’s only a set; we can afford to lose a set but not lives,” he added.
Well, we sincerely hope that such incidents don’t happen again and everyone stays safe. On the work front, Nagarjuna was last seen in ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ which did well; at the box office, At present, he has a film with RGV in his kitty.
