Nagarjuna’s Officer Review: Could the cop drama impress the audience?

King Nagarjuna and sensational director Ram Gopal Varma’s cop drama ‘Officer’ managed to create a huge pre-release buzz. Well, finally, the film has hit the screens today and is receiving a mixed response from the audience all over. After their successful combination of a path-breaking film like ‘Shiva’, the two are teaming after a long time, which is one of the highlights of the film.

Going by the reviews, Nagarjuna’s fiery look as a foolhardy cop has created an impact. Nagarjuna is seen as a strong police officer who is after the criminals in Mumbai. But one can expect the story to be unique since Nagarjuna would be playing a cop and the central character.  The audience can’t stop praising Nagarjuna’s performance in the film. Well, the first-day first show reviews are out and looks like the film has averagely managed to impress the audience.

Ram Gopal Varma revealed that the character played by Nagarjuna is loosely based on a real life cop KM Prasanna who is currently serving in Mumbai. KM Prasanna is from Karnataka and was recruited in the SIT for a special case, revealed by Ram Gopal Varma.
