A multi-starrer with top actors, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Nani, is in the making and after a long time, two top stars of the film industry are collaborating. Directed by Sriram Aditya, the multi-starrer is currently being shot at a studio in Hyderabad. The film is yet to be titled and reportedly, the makers are looking at various titles for the film since it involves two most viable stars in Telugu. And according to latest reports, the makers may have zeroed in on a classic title for the film which will have a Nagarjuna connection. Reports reveal that the makers are considering Devadasu which is the title of yesteryear cult classic starring Nagarjuna’s father Akkineni Nageswar Rao. If Devadasu is indeed the title of the film, then the hype around the film would reach the next level since the yesteryear classic was a blockbuster hit.
The film will star Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead opposite Nani while Malliraava actress Akanksha Singh would be seen playing Nagarjuna’s leading lady. The yet untitled film will have Nani playing a doctor while Nagarjuna would be seen playing an underworld don. This will be the first ever collaboration for Nani and Nagarjuna together. The film is being produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and will have music composed by Mani Sharma.
It was earlier being reported that the film is possibly a remake of Bollywood film Johnny Gaddar starring Neil Nitin Mukesh. However, director Sriram Aditya clarified that the film is a new subject and not a remake of any film. Clarifying all this confusion, director Sriram Aditya took to Twitter and cleared all the air around the film. “My next film with @iamnagarjuna sir and @NameisNani Produced by @VyjayanthiFilms is not a Remake of any film. Its a original script .Just wanted clarify 🙂,” wrote Sriram giving much required clarity to fans.
