Nani’s much-awaited release Krishnarjuna Yuddham, which also stars Anupama Parameswaran and Rukhsar, has finally hit the Box Office. The film made the right noise before the release and has already set a good pre-release business at the Box Office.
Interestingly, the film sees Nani playing the double role as Krishna and Arjun, which is, of course, a double treat to the audience. The plot of the film revolves around Krishna and Arjun, who are both playboys, hailing from different parts of the world. While Krishna woos the Indian village girl, Arjun is a Prague based rockstar. Their life takes a drastic turn when they meet each other and come to know that they are look alike.
Well, Nani had played the dual role in 2016 hit Gentleman, but the experience of working in Krishnarjuna Yuddham was quite different. In a recent interview with TOI, Nani revealed how draining it was for him to shoot double role. It was quite draining as this is for the first time he was shooting for the characters that are both in the same frame.
Talking about the same, Nani said, “I never did scenes where both characters were in the same frame together. In this film, the two characters, Krishna and Arjun are together for almost half the duration. It involved shooting a lot in front of motion control cameras. The most challenging bit was switching from one character to the other instantly on cue. it was mentally draining, but I’m pleased with the way it turned out.”
Talking about the characters, Nani added, “They are completely different from each other. Krishna is from Chittoor jilla and speaks with a peculiar accent. He thinks he’s a great flirt, but no one really takes him seriously, especially the women. When a woman enters his life and something goes amiss, he has to go to Hyderabad for her. Arjun, on the other hand, is everything Krishna is not. he’s a classy and edgy rockstar from Prague. What brings these two together and for what purpose is what the film is all about. Besides the two love stories, the film packs in lots of fun and action episodes as well.”
