A lot has been happening around the biopic on yesteryear legendary actor and politician N.T.Rama Rao which is being produced by his son and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. After the film was launched officially in March this year, director Teja backed out of the project and said he wouldn’t be able to handle a project of large scale. And since then, Balakrishna has been scouting for a new director. And latest reports reveal that Balakrishna himself may helm the project under the supervision of Singeetham Srinivas Rao. However, these reports are yet to be confirmed. While all this is happening, emerging reports reveal that Rana Daggubati has been hired to play an important role in NTR biopic.
According to reports, Rana Daggubati will be seen playing NTR’s son in law and current chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, in the biopic which is an exciting news for the fans of the Nandamuri family. While Rana Daggubati and the makers are yet to confirm this development, sources in the film circles reveal that the discussions have been completed and Rana Daggubati will soon sign the dotted line.
The biopic will feature Balakrishna himself in the titular role and will portray the life of NTR from the time he made an entry in films till he became the Chief Minister of then Andhra Pradesh, reports reveal. The biopic will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi since NTR was a popular figure across India in films and political circles. The makers are yet to reveal the complete cast and crew of the film, which is expected to be announced in the coming days. It is being said that few top actors from various South Indian film industries are being approached for the biopic. The shooting of NTR bipic is underway in bits and pieces in Hyderabad as the unit is awaiting for a director for the film.
