After there were many speculations that Pawan Kalyan may slow down in his political journey after the debacle of his recent film, the actor has now confirmed that he will start a ‘yatra’ from a temple in Telangana which will mark the beginning of his political journey in the Telugu states. In a post on his Twitter handle, Pawan Kalyan confirmed that he will begin the journey from a Temple in Telangana and travel across the state meeting people to discuss numerous issues they have been facing. Pawan has also indicated that he will contest in the upcoming elections however, he is yet to confirm the constituency he will contest from. Names ‘Chalo re Chalo re Chal’, the journey will have Pawan Kalyan traveling across the state of Telangana in the first leg and then later to Andhra Pradesh. Pawan Kalyan will hold meetings with his party, Jana Sena, activists and workers from January 22nd to 24th and discuss about the strategies and important aspects about his political journey.

Reports also reveal that the ‘yatra’ will be in different phases and will have PK interacting with his party leaders and workers throughout. “During the proposed tour, his primary focus will be on understanding the local problems. Later, he would undertake agitations to exert pressure on the respective governments to resolve those problems,” a source was quoted as saying in a report by New Indian Express.
Rumours were doing rounds that Pawan Kalyan may slow down in politics after his latest release, Agnyaathavaasi, turned out to be a debacle and did not live up to the expectations of his fans and general Telugu audiences. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Agnyaathavaasi was the story of a son seeking revenge for the killing of his father played by Boman Irani in the film. The film is said to be an adaptation of French film Largo Winch directed by Jérôme Salle and the film also found itself amidst plagiarism controversy.
