Pawan Kalyan puts films on hold to focus on the upcoming elections

According to a leading daily, Telugu star Pawan Kalyan has decided to put his upcoming films on hold in order to concentrate on his political career. With the state elections not too far away, the ‘Powerstar’ wants to meet the people of AP and Telangana in order to understand the needs of the common man. Talking about this, a source said that films are not a priority for him right now.’

“In the coming days, Pawan Kalyan has a hectic schedule as he has decided to meet people of different districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Till the coming elections, he is going to address public meetings and highlight the problems faced by the common man,” added the source.

The source also indicated that even though PK has put his films on hold he may return to the big screen once the elections conclude.

“The actor has always maintained that he wants to do films because that is his bread and butter, so after the elections, he may come back to films to make some money,” revealed the source.

Well, it seems that PK’s future course of action is set in stone and we wish him good luck for the future.

On a related note, PK was last seen in the recently-released ‘Agnyaathavaasi’. A Trivikram Srinivas directorial, it hit screens this Sankranthi and received unfavourable reviews from all quarters. Also featuring Keerthy Suresh in the lead, it proved to be a commercial failure despite getting off to a goo start at the box office.

While speaking at its music launch, PK had said that he is entering politics in order to help his fans and repay them for their support.

“I’ve always wanted to do something good and give back to the society. I believe I’m able to achieve that through cinema and politics,” he had added.
