When a film of a star like Pawan Kalyan is lined up for release, expectations are sky high always on the film to do well. And when a filmmaker like Trivikram Srinivas has directed the film, expectations are all the higher on it. Agnyaathavaasi is a testimony to it! Releasing today, 10th January 2018 worldwide, Agnyaathavaasi is the biggest release in the career of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas. Trade experts started their predictions and the numbers were hovering around the INR 80 – 100 crore range at the box office. However, all the predictions went wrong. Just in the US premiere shows, Agnyaathavaasi has earned a collection of more than $1 million and this is even before the first show was screened in the cinema halls. This is the first for any South Indian film in the US, a market which is being targeted highly by the makers of South Indian films majorly in the recent past. Agnyaathavaasi beats the record of ‘Baahubali’ in collections from the premiere shows which was at $1.39 million.

The first shows in the Telugu states are starting from as early as 7 AM and fans of the Power Star have been at the theatres since last night to enter the cinema hall. The mania around the film is towering high and the buzz around the film during the release was expected to be huge. However, the collection numbers make a totally different equation for the film. Looking at these numbers, trade experts are now predicting that the film will cross the golden number of INR 100 crores in less than a week of its run in the theatres.
Agnyaathavaasi, besides Pawan Kalyan, stars Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emmanuel as the leading ladies while actress Khushbu, Boman Irani, Rao Ramesh and Murli Sharma will be seen playing important roles in the film. Aadhi Pinisetty will be seen playing the antagonist in Agnyaathavaasi who has already donned similar roles in Sarrainodu opposite Allu Arjun. The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander which is another exciting element about the film.
