Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam, who delivered the blockbuster hit Pellichoopulu which was a path-breaking film in Tollywood, is now gearing up to shoot for his second film. The director is said to have locked the script of the film and the story is said to be based on friendship. Tharun says that his second film, which is yet to be titled, will have all new faces and will soon go on floors.

Speaking to a leading daily, Tharun said, “My film is a buddy comedy. What prompted me to write this is several friends I have made over the years. We all love our families — no doubt, but friends have a special place in our lives. In fact, there are things which we can’t share with family but tend to share with our friends without hesitation. It’s that emotion which is the inspiration for my story.”

Tharun Bhascker and the makers rolled out a casting call for this film and the director says they received a huge number of entries in that. “We have received over 1,100 entries. It’s really very overwhelming. At any cost, we plan to begin shooting the film by October. We will finish the shoot in 45 days,” Tharun added further.

Pellichoopulu paved way for a lot of new talent in Tollywood including lead actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma, who now have some top class films under their belt. Vijay Deverakonda is riding high on the monumental success of his latest release, Arjun Reddy, while Ritu Varma has some interesting films in her kitty which includes Dhruva Natchathiram with ace filmmaker Gautham Menon.
