Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is gearing for the beginning of the shooting, in which the actor will be seen playing the titular role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Directed by Surender Reddy, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will have a huge star cast from various other languages which was announced along with the title poster of the film a while ago. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy features Nayanthara, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. There were reports doing rounds that Amitabh Bachchan may have opted out of the film due to date issues and some other top star may be roped in his place. However, a picture of director Surender Reddy with Amitabh Bachchan is going viral on social media which clears all the air around the film. And as always, Amitabh Bachchan looks his elegant best I the picture.

There were reports that Nayanthara too may opt out of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy due to prior commitments and the delay in the shooting of the film. However, later reports revealed that Nayanthara will begin shooting for her portions from February 2018 and the actress has already allocated bulk dates for the film. These rumours started floating after music composer A.R.Rahman opted out of the film due to his busy work schedule and could not allocate time for the film.
Surender Reddy had recently said that Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will be a humongous one and will make India proud. The action sequences will be designed by Hollywood stunt choreographer Lee Whittaker who has worked on films like Baahubali, Die Hard, Pearl Harbor and X-Men: Apocalypse. And with such big names in the cast and crew of the film, ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ will be one of the biggest films of 2018 in South Indian cinema. “The film is going to create another landmark in Telugu cinema as the director has worked towards it. It’s a hectic task for him and the team as they have done a complete make-up test for every artiste. Now, everything is ready,” Surender Reddy had said recently.
