She will be seen opposite Allu Arjun in DJ

If you are a die-hard fan of the fast-rising beauty Pooja Hegde then we have some awesome news in store for you. In an exciting development, she recently took to Twitter and shared a pic with her fans. In it, the lovely lady can be seen on the sets of ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ as she gears up to shoot for a song with Allu Arjun. Judging by the pic, it seems that she is going all out in order to make a solid impact in DJ.

Interestingly, while sharing the pic, she said that she was really looking forward to shooting with Arjun.

“When you are dancing with @alluarjun,you gotta stretch a little extra #likeABoss #DJ #duvvadajagannadham #rehearsal #letsdothis,” she wrote.

In case you did not know, Pooja made her big screen debut with the Tamil film ‘Mugamoodi’ Released in 2012 and touted to be a superhero film, it did average business at the ticket window. Thereafter, Pooja starred in ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ and ‘Mukunda, carving a niche for herself in South cinema. Last year, she ventured into Bollywood with ‘Mohenjo Daro’. Unfortunately, the historical/period drama—which also featured Hrithik Roshan in the lead—underperformed at the BO.

On a related note, DJ’s makers recently found themselves in a spot of bother when the Brahmin community objected to the lyrics of a song from the film. However, director Harish Shankar soon issued a clarification.

“The reason those wordings were used is that the hero is from a Brahmin family and is expressing his feelings to the girl he loves comparing her to the elements that he is only aware of. The hero is a strict follower of Brahmin traditions and all that he knows are things related to Brahmin culture. And hence, those wordings were to be used,” he added.

If all goes as planned, DJ will hit screens later this month.
