Nandamuri Balakrishna will next be seen in another commercial potboiler which is directed by KS Ravi Kumar. The film is slated to be released on January 12th, 2018 during the festive season of Pongal. Besides Balakrishna, ‘Jai Simha’ also stars Nayanthara and Hari Priya as the leading ladies. The makers recently organized a pre-release event of the film in Hyderabad which was attended by the complete cast and crew of the film. The event was also attended by filmmaker Boyapati Srinu who will be directing the next film of Nandamuri Balakrishna. The music of ‘Jai Simha’ is composed by Chirantan Bhatt who had composed previously for Gautami Putra Satakarni. Speaking at the event, Nandamuri Balakrishna said that the film is a clean entertainer and will appeal to everyone including families.
“For the last eight years we’ve been planning to work together. For various reasons, we couldn’t work earlier. I’m glad the long-time desire has been fulfilled with a project like Jai Simha, which will be the perfect festival film for everybody to watch with their family. It has all the navarasas,” said Balakrishna at the pre-release event of ‘Jai Simha’.
Speaking about the title which was also the title of one of his father NTR’s film, Balakrishna says, “We are proud to have used the same title. It was my father’s third film as a producer. Despite the failure of the first two production ventures, he placed his faith in Jayasimha and it worked in his favour. We are confident about our Jai Simha, too.”
