Mohankrishna Indraganti is known for making films with subtle humour and simple narration, which have worked most of the times. Speaking about the film ‘Ami Thumi’, Mohankrishna Indraganti had said,”his film has tons of social references, but we have done it in a way it doesn’t offend anyone. There are references about demonetisation, about arranged marriage, about people’s obsession with mobile phones and how we are still caught in certain notions about our own culture.”
“Comedy is one of the most underrate genres. In any creative format, it’s really difficult to write comedy because you can’t negotiate with the audience. Either I make them laugh or I can’t. When it comes to comedy, it’s about the timing of the joke and audiences have to connect with it instantly,” the director further added.
Actor Sudheer Babu, recently, had said that he is fine working with newcomers because of the freshness they rbing to the table. “Several of my earlier films, too, were helmed by new directors, including my last hit Bhale Manchi Roju. I feel newcomers are more open to ideas and discussions and I am very comfortable working with them. Also, I feel newbies bring a fresh perspective to the script,” Sudheer had said.
Sudheer Babu was last seen in ‘Shamanthakamani’ which also starred Aadhi, Sundeep Kishan and Naara Rohit in the other lead roles. The film was directed by Sriram Aditya and was about a car that gets stolen during a night party from a club. The film was a decent success and all the actors were appreciated for their performances.
