It’s been a little over a week that Indian cinema lost one of the biggest stars – Sridevi. The actor passed away in Dubai last week after having found lying unconscious in the bathtub of the hotel room she was staying at. Sridevi’s mortal remains were brought back to India three days later and the superstar was given a state honour before family members performed the final rites. The procession towards the crematorium was attended by millions of fans of the actress and the streets of Mumbai were packed with crowds wishing to take a final glimpse of their favourite star. Many Indian film personalities attended the condolence meet and the funeral too including superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and megastar Chiranjeevi. Sridevi was one of the biggest stars in South Indian cinema, specially Telugu, before foraying into Bollywood and becoming one of the first superstars in Hindi.
The Telugu film fraternity gathered a day go at the condolence meeting of Sridevi which was organised by popular filmmaker turned politician T.Subbarami Reddy. Veteran actors like Kota Srinivas Rao, Babu Mohan, Krishnam Raju, Jaya Prada, Jaya Sudha, Srikanth and Jagapathi Babu among many others attended the condolence meeting.
