National Award winning filmmaker Praveen Sattaru hit gold with his latest reelase PSV Garuda Vega which starred Rajasekhar in the lead role. The film was a spy thriller and had the actor was seen playing the role of an NIA officer. PSV Garuda Vega became a stupendous success and the biggest hit in the career of actor Rajasekhar and director Praveen Sattaru. And according to latest reports, Praveen Sattaru is onto something bigger than his previous release and is planning a multi-starrer. According to latest reports, Praveen Sattaru has decided the script for his next which will have Nithiin in the lead role and will be bankrolled too by the actor. Nithiin had announced this and had confirmed about the collaboration. However, buzz in the Telugu film circles is that the film might be a multi-starrer and Rana Daggubati could come onboard for this multi-starrer.

“The story has scope for three mainstream actors to come together. Alongside Nithiin, Rana Daggubati could also be a part of the film. Talks are on about the same and a third actor is yet to be finalised,” a report in DC quoted a source. If this materialises, then it will be an exciting flick in the upcoming season in Tollywood. Praveen Sattaru had directed multi-starrer in the past – Chandamama Kathalu and Guntur Talkies – but they were all with stars who were not of the stature of Rana Daggubati and Nithiin. It is also being reported that the makers may rope in Naara Rohit for this multi-starrer if everything goes well.

If the makers succeed in getting Rana Daggubati onboard, then it surely will be a huge film to watch out for in Tollywood since he is now one of the top stars in India. And collaborating with an offbeat filmmaker like Praveen Sattaru will add to the buzz around the film. Rana Daggubati is currently shooting for his upcoming period film titled 1945 which is said to be about an officer of Subhash Chandra Bose’s regiment back then.

On the other hand, Nithiin is currently shooting for his next with Krishna Chaitanya which is being produced by Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas jointly. The film is said to be romantic comedy and has Megha Akash playing the other lead role. Earlier, Nithiin and Megha Akash had teamed up for Hanu Raghavapudi’s LIE which was a dud at the box office. However, Nithiin seems to be quite confident about his next with Krishna Chaitanya. It is also being reported that Nithiin may team up director Harish Shankar for a multi-starrer and the film may also feature Sharwanand in it. However, these reports are yet to be confirmed by the makers. But going by the buzz, something official maybe announced soon about this.

The other name that’s doing rounds for this film is Nara Rohit who just had a release in Balakrishnudu. The film did not fare well at the box office though and Rohit will now look to make a comeback with a good script. And if the makers do approach Rohit for this multi-starrer, he sure would grab it with open arms. Rohit has had only one hit in the last 3 years which was also a multi-starrer, coincidentally, Shamantakamani starring Aadhi, Sudheer Babu and Sundeep Kishan in other lead roles.

Director Praveen Sattaru has always attempted conventional and offbeat films with unique content. Speaking about why had chosen Rajasekhar for PSV Garuda Vega, Praveen Sattaru had said that it was unimaginable for him to look at anyone else besides him. “Frankly speaking, I could not imagine anyone other than Dr Rajasekhar to carry off the role in Garuda Vega. His films may not have done well but his acting credentials are beyond doubt. I felt his hit-less patch turned out to be an advantage as there were no big expectations or image baggage that the film had to cater to. The audience has never seen him in this sort of a role before and were pleasantly surprised. So while people saw the glass half-empty, I saw it half-full,” Praveen had said.

Well, if this multi-starrer with Rana Daggubati and Nithiin materialises, it will be an interesting combination in Tollywood to watch out for. And what would be more interesting to see would be the genre Praveen Sattaru would choose for this film/
