As we all know, a few days ago the makers of ‘Magadheera’ created quite a buzz in the industry when they claimed that the Hindi movie ‘Raabta’ was a copy of their film. Thereafter, they took the makers of Raabta to court and asked for a stay on the romantic-drama’s release.

Now, in an unexpected development, the court has ruled in favour of the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer and stated that the makers can go ahead with their plans and release it tomorrow.

Confirming the same, Allu Aravind—the producer of ‘Magadheera’—said that both parties had settled the issue amicably.

“Yesterday both the parties representing ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Raabta’ have settled the on-going legal dispute amicably outside the court. Hence, Geetha Arts has officially withdrawn the case,” he added.

In case you did not know, ‘Magadheera’ , which hit screens in 2009, is touted romantic-drama and has been directed by SS Rajamouli. Shot in Telugu, it features Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. The supporting cast comprises names such as Srihari, Rao Ramesh and Sunil. Needless to say, it was big hit at the ticket window.

As far as Raabta is concerned, it has been directed by Dinesh Vijan and co-produced by Homi Adjania. Besides SSR, it features Kriti Sanon in the lead and is the third release of her career. She was last seen in ‘Dilwale’ opposite Varun Dhawan. Touted to be an action comedy and directed by Rohit Shetty, it hit screens in 2015 and opened to go good response at the BO.
