Actress Raashi Khanna made her debut in Malayalam cinema with Mohanlal starrer ‘Villain’ which has been receiving encouraging response from Malayalam movie-buffs. Directed by B.Unnikrishnan, ‘Villain’ also stars Tamil actors Vishal and Hansika Motwani in other lead roles. Raashi says that ‘Villain’ will be one of her critically acclaimed films and will get noticed. “The appreciation is taking me back to the Oohalu… days. As an actor, I always seek roles that make an impact, irrespective of the duration of the role, and I am glad I succeeded with this film,” a report in DC quoted Raashi Khanna as saying about her Malayalam debut ‘Villain’.
“I was really looking forward to the release of Villain. I put in a lot of hard work and I am glad people are noticing basic things like how I synced perfectly with the Malayalam dialogues or that I came across as a Malayalam girl makes me feel wonderful,” the Supreme actress added further.
Speaking about why ‘Villain’ will be a special one, Raashi further adds, “I have to agree on that. Except for Supreme, I have mostly not got such wide appreciation for a performance even if the film was a hit. People did commend my looks, which is also very important for me as an actor. But somehow, it is always special to be praised for my craft over the way I look.”
Raashi Khanna will next be seen in Telugu film ‘Toliprema’ which also stars Varun Tej in the lead role and is directed by Venky Atluri.
